Jeremiah 20:12 tells us that God sees our minds and our hearts. Because He was involved in our formation, He knows that we are different to one another.
We’ve already seen how these gifts God has given us motivate the way we see and respond to the world around us, and they also determine the things we enjoy and love doing. After all, who doesn’t enjoy doing something that we’re good at?
As we discover our gifts, we will understand how certain ministries within the church – and even careers – are best suited to us when we use the gift God has given us. That doesn’t mean that they cannot be used in all areas of ministry. Nor should we use the knowledge of our gift be an excuse not to be involved in other areas of ministry.
Whatever your gift might be, it should never prevent us from being compassionate to one another, or offer resources if we are able. But we will feel the greatest satisfaction and accomplishment when we are doing the things God has designed us to love doing.
