The congregation noted the retirements of
several elders from the Kirk Session at the
morning services on 1st September 2019. [2]
John Jenkins, Henry Clements and Jimmy McClean
will be made Elders Emeritus by the Ballymena
Presbytery, while Anne Taylor leaves us to join
Ballywillan Presbyterian Church in Portrush.
We thank them all for their faithful and sacrificial
service to High Kirk over many years. In addition
John was given a gift to recognise his ordination
as an elder for more than forty years - serving in
Railway Street Presbyterian Church Lisburn
and in High Kirk. We wish them well as they
continue to serve in various other capacities
in God’s kingdom. [Pictured above]
