Ciara Simpson George, South Africa Dates: 4 July to 18 July Getting alongside families and helping to provide their basic needs such as making food and delivering it to the people who need it the most. It may also involve practical work in homes, doing community projects and even simply playing with the kids in the township showing them love and afection.I hope that the mission trip would inspire me and challenge me. I hope I can make a diference in a place where it is so desperately needed. Prayer points: Pray for unity and safety while the team is out in South Africa. Pray that we as a team will make an important impact on the lives in South Africa and that we will be able to share the love and truth of Christ. Chris Aiken Linares, Jaen, Spain 10 July to 22 July I will be leading an Exodus team of 10 people out to Linares over the summer. We have been, and will be running discipleship meetings every Sunday since March to help prepare the team for heading out. When we arrive we will attend a discipleship academy in Valdepenas for a few days, then head down to Linares. When we arrive we will be partnering with the Sion Evangelical Fellowship to encourage local churches; minister to local families and to present the practical love of Jesus Christ to the people of the town. We will be engaging in practical projects such as food parcels, plaza missions and visiting vulnerable families. We will also be attending and participating in the church’s Sunday program; bringing testimonies; leading worship; and praying for and with the local church. Prayer Points: I would personally appreciate your prayers for myself as a leader, as the sole running of the team falls to myself and to my co-worker Natalie Lamont. Please pray for the young people in my team as this, for many of them, is their frst experience of a mission trip. We’d love prayer for the practical aspects of our team, such as fundraising, travel and health. Also for the spiritual aspects of our team, so we’d love for you to pray for us as we bond and grow together, but also for the churches we will be working with. We really value your support and encouragement. Thank you. Rosanna Holland and Claire McDonald Linares, Jaen, Spain Dates: 10 July to 22 July We will be taking part in the Missional Discipleship Academy. We are also going to be doing Kids’ Clubs, Plaza ministry as well as assisting local churches by distributing literature and food parcels. We also have opportunities to visit locals and lead some church services. We really hope to make a diference in the lives of the Spanish people and that we can share our faith openly with them. Prayer points: Pray for confdence to share our faith and that God will help us get to know the Spanish people. Please also pray that the Holy Spirit would be really evident and that the trip would be a life-changing experience for us all!
