Young adults are a key part of our church I’ve been part of the 20/30s team for nearly
family. Through the twenties thirties ministry two years now and I’ve really enjoyed
we aim to engage this generation to connect getting to know everyone who is involved in
with one another and go deeper in their own this ministry. High Kirk is such a huge church,
Christian walk. with hundreds of families, that it’s a difficult
place to meet and get to know people my age.
Each term we plan some social events as a
platform to get to know each other better, form After getting married last summer, Claire joined
friendships and invite along friends, colleagues High Kirk and through the 20/30s events, Claire

focus services. We are both very grateful for this ministry!
Whether it’s heading out for a quiz night or the
In these Sunday services, we hope to tackle beach for some ‘Campfire Worship’, or even
issues at the heart of our generation and equip just chatting after a service with some of our
our young adults to engage and reach out in new friends, I really thank God for blessing this

                                                              brings!
Ultimately, we seek God’s guidance to build
up and inspire our young adults to be the Neil McKeown

TWENTY:THIRTY has been really important to me personally. It was the natural place to find a KEN’S ANNU AL REP OR T - 2017
community of people at the same stage as me when I first came to High Kirk. Having a mix of
social events for getting to know more people and to bring friends to is a great way to open up
how we do Church to more people. Having a ministry that provides this and looks to work into
our evening services with a focus on topics targeted to our generation helps equip us to go out
into our daily lives better equipped to be fully devoted followers of Christ.
