High Kirk Community Playgroup was
established 25 years ago as a Church outreach
into the local community. It has now grown
into a respected educational preschool setting,
which is partially funded by the Education
        Authority of Northern Ireland (EANI).
In recognition of this, or name was changed
in September 2019, from High Kirk Community
Playgroup to High Kirk Community Preschool.
Over the years staff have moved on, however
the current staff have all been together for 15
years. Parents comment on the continuity of
staff and the welcoming environment they find
when they bring their children to the setting.
This is evident in the number of families who
have sent several children to our preschool.
Over the years, both parents and children have
been attracted to organisation and church
activities as a result of their contact with the
        preschool.
From an initial beginning in the old Minor Hall,
the then playgroup, benefitted from a new room
in the extension. This has now been enhanced
by the addition of patio doors opening out to a
        newly re-surfaced outdoor play area.

        Various inspection reports, Education Training
Inspectorate and Social Services have remarked
on the good interactions between staff and
the children. All staff take pride in providing
a caring and loving environment, while
maintaining a high level of educational
        provision.

Our prayers and aspirations for the preschool
are that it would continue to grow and offer a
high-quality setting where children and parents
        see God’s work in action.
