The gap between the red and green lines at 2019-1 shows the estimated fi nal fi gure for the
additional fi nance which is now needed to clear the total remaining debt (~ £710,000).
On the basis of this information and the income to date, it has been agreed to set a target to reach a
total of £950,000 by the end of 2019 (i.e. income this year of £300,000) – shown at 2019-2. This will
enable us to begin to repay some of the interest-free loan total. The primary method of meeting this
target will remain regular giving (through standing orders and envelopes), together with the biannual
gift days. However, we are also planning a small number of special events during the year and will be
providing information about these in the near future.
We are all encouraged to give prayerful consideration to how we can play our part in this
throughout the year. Further information regarding standing orders, gift aid, etc is readily available
from any of those leading this work. Scripture encourages us to consider celebrating God’s goodness
to us as individuals, families and a congregation by setting aside for God’s Kingdom and Glory a
proportion of the resources entrusted to us. While this involves a much wider range of activities than
the building project, we have invested in this project as part of our commitment to serve God as a
congregation. As each of us identifi es particular aspects of God’s blessing, please consider how
fi nancial support of our life and work in High Kirk should be part of your celebration during the
coming months.
The people responded immediately and generously with the fi rst of their crops and grain, new
wine, olive oil, honey, and everything else. 2 Chronicles 31:5
